Presentation Guidelines

Oral Guidelines

Presentation Times:
  • Plenary presentations are 40 minutes long, including 35 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
  • Invited presentations are 30 minutes long, including 25 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
  • Contributed presentations are 20 minutes long, including 17 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for questions and discussion.
Audio-Visual Setup:

The conference room will be set up with a screen, microphone, LCD projector, laser pointer, and a presentation laptop.  Please bring a copy of your presentation on a flash drive and load your presentation on to the computer during a session break prior to the start of your session.  Please note that PowerPoint (16:9)  is the recommended presentation software.  The projector is expected to be compatible with both PC’s and MAC’s; however, we ask that you bring a copy of your presentation on a flash drive as a back-up.

Poster Guidelines

Poster Size:
  • The maximum size for a poster is 40 inches by 48 inches (100 cm by 120 cm). The poster can be in either portrait or landscape orientation.
Poster Days and Locations:
  • Poster presenters can setup their posters in Lin Hall 105 at the University of Oklahoma on Monday morning from 8:20 a.m.-10:30 a.m. The unattended posters can be viewed by the conference participants during breaks. On Tuesday the poster will be moved; see below.
  • On Tuesday afternoon, the organizers will move the posters to the Sam Noble Museum for the poster session on Tuesday evening. Please be prepared to stand by your poster from 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Transportation will be provided.
